@foxidrive , I have an unused licence for Xenforo, it can be used to start your own forum.
I can land it to you for 6 months, free of charge, I guess you have some ideas to discuss things which are not suitable for LGs.

Thanks for your kind offer misi but my hobbies only include spouting rubbish on other people's forums.
Nah, but seriously I have never felt a desire to start a forum.I am thinking about Meg's plan for myself: get a domain for my email and some web space to host images and scripts that I help people with etc.
A personal web site is of no interest to me either.
At times I deal with support people in companies and I currently shove diagnostic images and information etc on a free webhost. I'd like to keep that stuff in a more convenient manner and some web space of my own would be good.
So whoisguard is the bee's knees as you've said, and @Megabyte should look at that too.

In cPanel you can install WordPress with one click.
Takes 2-3 hours to fiddle with it after that and you don't have to touch it anymore.
