Got error posting:
"500 Internal Server Error

The server has encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request."

And then on retrying:
" The following errors occurred when this message was submitted:

1. This forum requires that you wait 60 seconds between posts. Please try again in 29 seconds."

After checking, original post WAS sent. :/

Even though the issue is not yours to troubleshoot or resolve, there are a few things you can do:
  1. Retry the web page by clicking the refresh/reload button or trying the URL from the address bar again. Even though the 500 Internal Server Error is reporting a general error on the web site's servers and not your computer, the server error may only be temporary. Trying the page again will often be successful.

60 seconds reduced to 20 seconds

Our templates are ageing,should revert them.
Yes , I know that I'm lazy to do that,but I just don't want to lose the whole forum(again!)
In the new year have to move, vBulletin won't support PHP 4 any more.
That time I'll update the whole forum. Perhaps we have to move to another server.(if Yahoo do not want to change)

Yes, it is back!
The database server was off for about 2 hours.
Phone call to the US solved the problem.
Any volunteer here to call them next time?
The volunteer must be able to understand US-English on the phone. :tearful
(Not sure that they understand Ozi-English)

On 14th of April we could have some problems :

MySQL Upgrade (5.0 to 5.1)
MySQL upgrades will be performed on gator373 to gator499 on April 13, 2009 at around 10:00PM CST.

During the time of the upgrade, you may notice temporary down time on MySQL, high load, and possible slower load times on HTTP.

I have installed a patch for vB 3.8.4,that could make some problems.

Yes, I received a database error yesterday when I tried to reach the forum. I tried a few times to no avail but waited a few minutes and everything was OK. :happy

I suspected some of our hacks to cause such problem,but after an inspection of the error log ,I can see that our server is playing up.

Okies. I give up.

I need point by point, maybe even pictorial, on editing my forum signature.

I have looked, prodded, searched under the mat, behind the desk, in my drawers and then the ones in the desk, I looked in my pockets, in the bin, under the mouse and even lifted every key on the keyboard, I grabbed the external hard drive on my desk and shook all of the bits out of it, grabbed the apple on my desk and threw it where it belongs, out the window, bloody iMac rubbish, I checked my bluetooth, blackberry, Tosca, EBCDIC, BFG, and now I'm checking with my Bolond, how the hell do I change the bloody signature?
