I do not want Christmas Tree!!!:eek
Speaking of Christmas Tree, heard on thr radio yesterday that the latest craze in NY is to have Upside Down Christmas Trees.
Apparently, the reason is that you can then have most of the decorations up top and have more room for gifts underneath.. Prediction is that we will see the trees in Aus next year...

Personally, I will stick with the conventional way of putting up the tree..:rolleyes

Our Storm Season is really making its self known this year..
As I am typing this,(30 minutes past midnight ) another storm is getting closer. Wind is picking up now and the thunder is getting louder and closer.
We have had storms every day since Sunday and experienced severe storms on Sunday and Tuesday around Brissey.

It is now 3am and we are having a hell of a thunder storm... I have basically been ousted from the bed because at exactly 2am we had what be as close a direct hit as you would ever want to get from lightning. I am amazed we still have power as usually the power would have gone out by now. It was just me and the missus in bed but after that lightning strike, it was me (painfully trying to ignore whats going on) , the missus, my son and the 2 dogs in the bed..:eek :eek
Right now the rain is pelting down and the thunder and lightning has not really eased much. Anyway, better unplug the computer again and might watch a bit of telly... Can't watch Foxtel as it is out at the moment as a result of the storm..

Good night / morning ( whatever )..

This is the Energex Lightning tracker.. We have recorded 66 direct cloud to ground lightning strikes in the last 30 minutes. Where you see the white patch just below BNE, that is where I live. White indicates strikes within the last 5 minutes.. Red is 5 - 10 and yellow is 11 - 20. Green is 21 - 30 and Blue is > 30 minutes ago..

I'm assuming it wasn't from the mexican food...

We had 50-70 km winds semi-recently and they can be pretty damaging! Glad they don't happen often!

All good today.. There were a few reports of fallen trees on the roads during the winds..

As a side note, the Telstra Techie came today to fix my phone line.. Problems started back in April and its taken that long to get someone out..
Surprisingly , my internet speed has now doubled and has not dropped out yet... Had no internet at all most of last week. Just a few odd minutes before dropping out was the best I got..
Was so bad last week, that when I called AGAIN to complain, the Telstra person had to call me back on my mobile cause they couldn't hear me on my landline..
