Re: Morning,Day and Night Watch

Freecycle sometimes lists cordless phones. You could post a "WANTED:"
Thanks Foxi, seems I have to try it.

So far found 2 on ebay.

#1: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270693437927&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Features: DSS, Answering Machine, Bluetooth, Caller ID, Clock, Fax, Handsfree, Intercom
Question to the seller:
Fax: to send,to receive or both?
Answer from the seller:

The elite 8855 will detect incoming faxes and allow them to be answered by a fax machine or software as distinguished from an incoming call which will be received to a built in digital answering facility. The bluetooth handset will conect to a bluetooth headset if required for hands free. caller id for both programed numbers and incoming calls
In the 8855 manual I cannot find the word "fax" :?

#2: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/UNIDEN-ELITE...89297232?pt=AU_Telephones&hash=item5d2d241250

Starting bid: $155
Buy it now: $155

So I can buy it now for $155 or bid $155 and wait until someone else places a higher bid?

Why am I looking only for Uniden?
Because my mum has it (cordless flip handset) but the speaker on the handset does not work.
(I can hear her but she cannot hear me)

Could it be that she has not pressed the right button for the speaker - or the speaker volume is too low?

I did try to set it higher, could not because it was on the highest.
Button on the handset: No such button on it.
Open it and it should work.

I see. I was thinking you wanted a speaker output rather than the earphone.

My Telstra wireless phones have a button which then puts it into speakerphone mode and you can put the phone down and still talk and hear it.

It's got large high contrast buttons for the elderly. Mum still can't use it - she's too slow to type in the numbers.
