It's real nice to hear that you've had some fun - John Mayall was a favourite album back in my youth.

As for me? Pretty sh1tty really. In the last eight months I've had very few nights with more than 3 hours sleep. Don't sleep during the day.

You know, I once heard about a watchmaker that never slept due to insomnia and found that amazing. I could never function very well on less than 8 hours sleep.

What I didn't know about insomnia is that you don't even yawn. Ya just keep on plugging away... your memory gets pretty ratty and you forget some trivial stuff - like what you ate and the last time you ate, are a couple that affect me.

One of my stomach tablets has this as a rare side effect - it started when I began this tablet. So yeah, it's not all beer and skittles at the moment, but thanks for asking.

I do have orange parts now though! Yay!! `

Did you try anything else to control it?
Such as fresh popcorn, sodium bicarbonate, etc?

It wasn't simple reflux - the symptoms changed and included upper tummy pain that lasted 3/5/10 hours and which gallstones were considered as a cause.

It's looking like the gastric damage, the severe pain, the burning mouth syndrome, plus all the reflux, was all caused by a heart tablet.

Yes, it's the Pantoprazole.

I walk in a room and forget what I was there for - that's a classic joke for people getting a few years under their belt :lmao:

That's what I take...... And I walk into rooms and arrrr, what is it we are doing again ?

Go to the Google search page here and open the Medscape search result.

(You might have to clear Medscape from your cookies first if you've visited before if you can't get in.)

But in any case on the search page there are plenty of other findings on the subject to choose from. :cool

Done!
Very interesting:
As reported above, there is great interest in developing statins as a treatment for dementia and as an agent for prevention of dementia in healthy elderly individuals. Our study was initiated because of this interest, along with reports in the lay press and consumer forums regarding statin-associated memory loss.

Dementia is a terrible sickness.

Does it give you insomnia too Guess? I think we've all done the "what did I walk into here here for" dance but I forget stuff too often, and have to triple check the medicines to be sure I don't cock it up.

A number of weeks back I took a penicillin capsule out for her ladyship, lost track and took it myself. I'm allergic to penicillin. Fortunately just one dose didn't do anything nasty - but it was notice on how I have to focus on what I am doing.

Are you taking any Statin type drugs for high cholestrol ? Statins and memory problems.

I had Atorvastatin and got abnormal eye fatigue and memory problems.

My bro had a minor heart attack late Feb and they started him on a huge dose of statin - something about calcium depletion and heart, they didn't make it clear - but he sleeps so very often now. GP appointment soon.

Dementia is a terrible sickness.

I take pills to make me sleep, yet I still often stay awake till sunrise.
I think sometimes it takes a lot of trials to get something that works.

They use all sorts of drugs for purposes that they aren't primarily used for. An antidepressant is used to help with nerve pain, an anticonvulsant drug also helps with nerve pain - her ladyship has them.

I will speak to my doc tomorrow and see what he has in his bag of tricks.

misi, I'm with you on many natural remedies but I'm also in the camp that has the view that many medicines are natural remedies, but are merely purified and much stronger.

I hope you can find a few moments to snooze Guess.

The last three days I've had around 8 hours sleep each night - I had Pantaprozole last on Wed night and have had tablets to zonk me out a bit morning and night, also stopped the motilium again early thurs and my tummy isn't feeling bad. Hoo-bloody-ray. If I can fast on Tuesday morning then there's a gastroscopy with my name on it.

But you have your skin problems, stomach problems, are they related?
