Server upgrade

Hello,

Please read this email urgently and in its entirety as it contains very important information regarding your account.

Your account is being upgraded onto brand new, more powerful hardware which will include the latest versions of cPanel and CentOS.
We plan to facilitate this upgrade as quickly and seamlessly as possible. Ensuring your total satisfaction with this maintenance is our primary objective. We will keep you updated via e-mail throughout. The upgrade process itself will result in an exact copy of your account being moved to new hardware and will ensure that the freshest possible up to the minute data is retained.

Once your data switchover is complete we will begin diverting all traffic to your new server so that you do not miss any traffic or experience connectivity problems. Please be aware that there may be minimal amounts of downtime, however we will do everything within our power to ensure a smooth transition. Please note, if you are currently using custom name servers, this process may require a change of IP addresses.

We will contact you within 48-72 hours, once the upgrade process has started.

*** Please expect a followup notice which will indicate the specific details required to update your DNS/Nameservers. ***

*** At this time, there is no action required on your part. **

I added smileys and ordered them in the editor but they didn't order in the smiley box too. Maybe that will be something Xenforo will work on. They are ordered by the time they were added.

misi, please see if you can find the smiley config text file, assuming there is one, and save it. It'd take a bit to redo them if something went wrong.

You've done a wonderful job,Foxi!
Yes, the smilies can become a problem, I'll see what can we do.
A few of them are already on our server(such as "Sunny")

:think:Thanks misi. Does Xenforo cache the smilies on the forum? You'd expect it to, rather than using objects that could be all over the internet. :?

Yes, they are in folders, here such as:/public_html/guru/styles/default/xenforo/smilies_old

Actually they are not cached automatically.
Have to upload them to a folder then they can be used.

misi, can you send a broadcast email to all registered users and tell them to check out the main forum page and change their bookmarks?

I don't think our regular users would mind.

I didn't have to change anything (bookmark) as old link worked.....or is it going to change?
No, it's not going to change, Okee.
vB's new posts link was different. Using that could take you to the unread posts.
Bookmarked that would take you to an error message here.(That link does not exist here.)
