I'm on ADSL2+ and 700 m from exchange. ......and i don't wanna speak to a stack of Indians or Filipinos.

I don't know much about attenuation, etc....does this look ok or what? ...please.

Check the statistics screen - does it have error figures on it?

Reboot your modem too - it's been up for 19 days and the downstream SNR is below 6db.

Okee, this is my results at 3500 meters from the exchange and after a week of wet weather.

SNR down is now 6 - no difference after 15min modem reboot.

I know there's something wrong, but what I don't know. Might have to contact aaNet, I s'pose. Things are that slow, yet I can use youtube ok.

Seems Upload: 1022 - Download: 17576 is very good.

Are you using Wi-Fi while checking your speed?

Seems aaNet provides you with speed but your Mac cannot use it fully.

No wi-fi, no ipad, no laptop. I never have anything else running when testing. It used to be real good, but lately downloads are so slow and pages taking a while to open. Thanks all for your help - This has got me puzzled. It's not my mac as it used to be really good on here.

Okee,I am really not trying to bash your Mac.
I'm around 2-300 meters away from the exchange, this is my speed ATM:

This is from my modem:

I wish I had that, misi. I used to download at around 1600-1700 kB/s....now it's only 20% of that.

If I were living around your area I would visit you with my modem and iPhone. (Laptop is not available)
Same speed with them as yours ATM? I would call aaNet.
14-17 Mb with them? Something is wrong with your equipment.
Cable, filter,etc.

Thanks to you all! I'll get up in the roof and check cables, etc and work my way through and do isolation tests, etc. Then if nothing achieved, I'll contact aanet. Too hot to get up there at the moment; have to wait for cooler weather. Thanks for your help.

Your figures look fine okee - no cable or filter issues probably because there are no crc etc errors and the sync speed is high.

I'd try someone's laptop just to rule out your computer, and if you don't have wifi then nobody can piggyback on your connection.

If a laptop performs poorly too then It could be aaNet throttling downloads...

Something I noticed Okee - check the circled radio button to see if there are any crc etc errors on the ADSL interface.
