Apple's biggest update to iOS is now available for existing devices. iOS 10 can be downloaded from the general part of the settings page on compatible iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad devices. It's the biggest update to Apple's mobile operating system so far, with a Siri digital assistant overhaul and a new iMessage interface that integrates stickers, apps, and games.

I'm waiting till Friday.

All iPhones starting with iPhone 5 are compatible with iOS 10. One of the highlights of this OS is that it consumes less memory compared to its predecessors. After going through the download and install process over Wi-Fi, the iPhone showed an error window and indicated you needed to plug it into iTunes on your computer. Connecting it to the computer brought up another error window that said, "There is a problem with the iPhone 'iPhone' that requires it to be updated or restored." The message indicated you might have been able to fix the problem by updating your phone, but if the update didn't work, you might have had to restore your phone to factory settings, which erases all content and settings
