Thank Goodness the rain has finally stopped. We had 185mm today and 170mm yesterday. Roads all around us were flooded. People who live 2 km+ south of us were totally stranded by floodwater blocking the northern and southern entrances to Southern Redland Bay / Pt Talburpin area. That's about 15,000 people with no-where to go.
Yesterdays rain was a weather system that was not part of Cyclone Marcia, but indirectly caused by the Cyclone.
Todays rain was the remnants of Ex Cyclone Marcia passing over us.
Not seen this much rain in years.

We were very lucky not to have the wind that battered Yeppoon , Rocky and inland areas.

I've been lucky so far. Experienced 3 Cyclones, but never had our property damaged... First big Cyclone, I was only about 7yo.
