You may remember reading about the Lytro Light Field when it first appeared in the US in October last year. It’s that strange-looking camera that takes even stranger photos: ones where you choose the focus after the fact, when you’re sitting at your PC.

Well it turns out it was invented by an Australian, Dr Ren Ng, and it’s finally coming home where it belongs. "
