as I wouldn't use Outlook on a home connection I much prefer Outlook Express and Outlook at work.

Can i ask why this is? I've read this a few times lately and i was wondering why people are saying this. Why wouldn't you use Microsoft Outlook anyway???

I use Thunderbird but i've being thinking of using Outlook 2003 lately for emails (send only) as well as the other features of Outlook 2003.

I need better organisation..But that's another story.

Simpler? Quicker?
I would like to know the answer too...

I'm just starting to use Outlook now, didn't use Outlook Express more than 10 times...:eek
All my emails are on the Yahoo! email server.
I don't even know that how to setup Outlook for my ISP's server...
Emails arriving there only from the ISP,forwarded to Yahoo!

Just personal preference really. Although Outlook can be used at home, Outlook Express is geared more to home network connections with multiple POP connections (IE diaup and ADSL/Cable) I have all my gmail, hotmail and 5 ISP server accounts checked via express and is easy, where as Outlook is geared more to Exchange servers in a corporate environment and is overkill in my opinion for a home connection.

I have tried Outlook on a few occasions, but always go back to using Outlook Express. I just find it more simpler for my needs..:tearful5

The only dumb questions are the ones that aren't asked. Microsoft Exchange Servers are Mail servers that Host and manage mail for corporations and Microsoft Outlook usually connects to the Exchange server to get client email. Microsoft Outlook is good and very efficient in this scenario. Outlook Express is all that is needed for home but if you want to use Outlook that's OK too.
