Once again, we are moving :-(

This time it was our decision, the current house we are in was always only temporary, but it's turned out to be a lot worse than we thought, so started looking early.

We have been approved for a lovely 4 bedroom house in Hastings :happy

I think our internet nightmare(wireless) should be over once we move, here are the details from ADSL2+exchanges.com.au

You are 124 m from HAST as the crow flies.
Estimated cable length of 204.6 m.
Estimated speed of 25000
Zone 1

Now do I stay with Telstra or try some other inferior mob :happy

Oh the flake will still be in the freezer foxi lol

Took the 500gig bundle, so should work out around $100 cheaper per month from now on.

It does the job, Guess. :happy I'm not sure how speednet works but I get 550 KB/sec and around 100 KB on the upload in real life speeds.

Misi's mum's house is a fair few hundred metres further than mine... On the other hand my house is ideally situated for shops and stuff! :thumbs_up

I have to update the iphone software once I get the desktop setup, also have a few tv shows to download, I'll get a real time speed then and post it up, but I'm looking at 1800KB+ I would assume.

The exchange must be fairly congested at peak times though, as I could only manage this around 6pm last night

Still plenty fast enough though and better than crappy wireless.

Cranked utorrent up the other day and downloaded our old wireless quota in a few hours :satisfied Thankfully it didn't make much of a dent in our 500Gig allowance.. lol

Sometimes simply unusable.
Then from the same location it's flying with 3-6 Mb/s...
Looking for a change to Telstra in a half year time.

That's what I hated about our wireless, it was up and down all over the place. Some days the speed test were great, but we still couldnt open pages to view, then other days it was almost fine. It was a terrible experience and one no customer should have to go through in this day and age of technology.
