I still don't have an iPad.
I find it handy at times - to show Mum something on the net, and I can expand the text and pictures for her to read.

@Megabyte Mum has one and loves it too - but I think any nice tablet these days will do much the same things.

Right now my iPad is an expensive clock - it looks much nicer than this horrible pic but you get the idea.
That thing in the middle is a lovely pic of the Moon and there's a lake below it with a reflection.

EDIT: I replaced the pic with a better one in daylight

Beware the slower processors and the low OS RAM. A chap asked me to check his $100 10.1 Android pad because he felt it was a bit slow. He was wrong, that was an understatement, It was so slow it was unusable for anything. It had a charger with a very unique connector so it was useless for anything else too. It did come with a nice case with USB keyboard though.

Mine is an expensive deck of cards a lot of the the time.

Apple plans to hold an event October 16 to introduce its newest iPads and Macs.

Does anyone else think that the market is going to be saturated with so many different and expensive iPads?
I reckon people will start to say "meh, another Apple ipad" :happy

Maybe the younger people will use more features than I do and get better value out of one...
