How to set Outlook 2003 not to clear off the emails from the server?
Receive them on the harddisk but keep them on the server.
Is it possible with it?

Yes it is:
Tools, accounts, go to properties of the account you want then advanced tab then tick leave a copy of messages on server. You can even tell it to lonly leave them there for 5 days or whatever you like. Edit them instructions are for Oulook Express as I wouldn't use Outlook on a home connection I much prefer Outlook Express and Outlook at work. I'm sure you can do it in Outlook too do a search in help while in Outlook if you can't find it or it is way different than the instructions above.

Thanks Magoo, found it!:happy
As you have said, different instructions with Outlook but it is there!

Tools
E-mail accounts
View or change existing e-mail accounts
Change
More settings
Advanced
Leave a copy of messages on the server
Remove from server after X days
There is one more option:"Remove from server when deleted from 'Deleted Items' " .

Very handy.

I'll start using it from now on.
It is downloading only from the Inbox and Bulk(spam) folders, not touching the other folders.
I can use my email client to read the messages and store them on the server!:happy

Hmmm...
SMTP-IMAP is available on AOL now.
I am trying to set up Outlook for the above options.(To leave the mail on the server)
Can't find them.
Does it mean that it leaves them on the server, I like it or not?

I haven't used it misi, but IMAP is designed to have mail on the server and left there. That's the difference between IMAP and POP.

That is good enough news for me.
I have to try that what happens to the "Sent" mail.
Should it stay there, I would love it! :kissy

Thanks Foxi!
